The Worldwide Act Nominees Are In!

See who’s representing your region...and the rest of the world.

nominees, worldwide act

You voted for your local winner. You voted for your regional favourite. And all those votes have determined the nominees for the coveted international EMA…Worldwide Act!

This year, the race for this unique international music award started with a staggering total of 186 artists in the running—hailing from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, India, Latin America, the Middle East, New Zealand, and North America. (Sorry, Antarctica-based fans, but we couldn’t find any penguins who released albums this year. At least, not EMA-worthy ones.)

Now, thanks to the support of fans around the world, just 10 talented acts are still in the race!

Here are the artists who might just get to take the Worldwide Act EMA—and global bragging rights—back to their home turf:

Africa/India/Middle East:
Ahmed Soultan

Australia/New Zealand:
Cody Simpson

Europe North:
One Direction

Europe Central:

Europe East:

Europe South:

Latin America:

Mainland China/Hong Kong/SEA/Taiwan:
