Enrique Iglesias
Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and is one of the most successful Latin music artists to cross over to the pop charts.
Madrid-born singer Enrique Iglesias, son of fellow singer Julio, released his self-titled debut album back in 1995. He began his crossover into the English-language music market in 1999, with the U.S. number one single ‘Bailamos’. From there, he went on to conquer international charts with 2001’s poignant ballad ‘Hero’, which hit number one in the U.K. His fusion of pop, R&B, Latin and rock rhythms has helped catapult him beyond the limitations of genres, geography and language.
To date, Enrique has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. In 2010, he released the album Euphoria, with the single ‘I Like It’ featuring breakout rapper Pitbull. That year, he netted the Best Spanish Act EMA.
